The Management Committee was successful in its application for a grant from Awards for All. The sum of £7,778.00 was awarded to fund the curtains and blinds throughout the Hall. We are also grateful to Lenleys of Canterbury http://www.lenleys.co.uk/ who quoted very favourable rates for the whole task and advised us on the suitability of fabrics and styles of blinds.
The curtains provide an extremely good blackout facility, whilst at the same time are stylish and give a "cosy" feel to the Hall. Users of the Hall should note the following clause which appears in the Hiring Agreement. "The curtains over the fire exit doors should remain open at all times, unless a person is designated to open them in the event of an emergency."
