The CharthamVH website does not set permanent cookies nor marketing software on your local computer for the purposes of tracking visitors to this site, but may set an ephemeral cookie to enable use of parts of this site during a session. If you elect to make comments or a booking a cookie will be placed on your computer to enable this. Your Internet Protocol address may be recorded to help redress abuse of the comments facility.

Concerning the Data Protection Act 1998 Information that you volunteer to Chartham Village Hall management is handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, the principles of which are that personal information should be:

  • adequate, relevant and not excessive
  • accurate
  • not kept longer than necessary
  • processed in accordance with the data subjects rights
  • secure
  • not transferred to countries outside the EEA without adequate protection

Data that you volunteer are processed and stored solely for the purposes of:

  • Administration
  • Public relations
  • Accounts and records
  • Communications between the Association and you.
Under the Data Protection Act you are entitled to a copy of any information held about you.

Confidentiality Data will be made available only to authorised personnel within the Chartham Village Hall Management Committee, who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information and will not be given to other parties except as may be required by law.
